Reading
Located midway between London and Swindon, at the confluence of the River Thames and River Kennet, Reading has been an important cultural and economic centre since medieval times. The city suffered serious decline during the 17th century, but has recuperated astoundingly well and is today once again referred to as the capital of Thames Valley. Reading is where you will find the UK headquarters of numerous international companies, including Microsoft, Oracle and Xansa.
